As part of the 10th anniversary celebrations of the English Montreal School Board (EMSB), students from 21 elementary and high schools raised $17,727.86 for Habitat for Humanityís Global Village program and its projects in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Egypt.

The schools are: at the elementary level, Coronation, Sinclair Laird, Dunrae Gardens, Holy Cross, Nesbitt, Carlyle, St. Dorothy, East Hill, John Caboto, Our Lady of Pompei, Dalkeith, Cedarcrest, Bancroft, Gardenview, and Parkdale; at high school level, LaurenHill, John Paul I, Rosemount, Westmount, John F. Kennedy and Vincent Massey.
In the case of Pakistan, where Habitat for Humanity is doing earthquake reconstruction, donations are being matched three to one by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).
